Translational neuroscience is the main area of my research. I am interested in the mechanisms of inherited brain diseases and use genetic in vivo models (rats) in my studies. I am also interested in interdisciplinary research collaboration with experts in physics, mathematics and genetics. I am currently involved in the following research:

  • Absence-epilepsy in genetically predisposed rats (WAG/Rij with symptomatic & asymptomatic phenotypes).
  • The thalamo-cortical system, thalamo-cortical mechanisms in health and disease.
  • Sleep and sleep disturbance in rats.
  • Behavior and cognitive functions in laboratory rats.
  • New methods and approaches to signals analysis, automation of routine processes.
